JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the Senior Associate Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors for major and planned gifts to advance Winterthur’s mission. This position will play a vital role in securing philanthropic support for Winterthur initiatives through regular interaction with current and prospective donors, with a specific focus on the major gifts level ($25,000+), including planned gifts. In addition, this position will manage strategy to secure planned gifts to support long-term financial sustainability and re-launch Winterthur’s Port Royal Society, its planned giving donor recognition society. The ideal candidate is a proactive and enthusiastic self-starter who is capable of building sustainable, long-term philanthropic relationships while meeting fundraising goals and independently prioritizing responsibilities.
Compensation: $90,000

Responsibilities:
Minimum Experience: Bachelor of Arts, commensurate experience accepted in lieu of education, with 5+ years of experience working in a membership, development or alumni office
Preferred Experience: In addition to minimum experience requirements, experience with individual fundraising; knowledge of Winterthur’s collection and estate; knowledge of DE, PA, MD, NJ region; knowledge of local philanthropic landscape
