HSE Specialist

Salary: $95,000 - 100,000

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and mitigate potential risks in the workplace.
• Coordinate training programs for employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and hazard recognition.
• Prepare and submit reports on HSE compliance, incidents, and corrective actions to management and regulatory agencies.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, providing recommendations for prevention and improvements to workplace safety.
• Serve as the point of contact for HSE concerns, advising management and staff on best practices and compliance requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging reporting of unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.

Desired Experience:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, preferably within a corporate or industrial environment.
• Experience in conducting HSE audits and risk assessments.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful health and safety programs.
• Experience working with corporate compliance management systems is a plus.
