Job Title: Head of Marketing | North America
Role Headline Summary:
The Marketing Director | North America supports the development and amplification of the Evolution global brand positioning and identity, the marketing strategy and shape of investment across all of North America. They create and own the Annual Marketing plan, develop North America marketing assets through providing insight and in collaboration with the Group Marketing team in the UK, and execute with the local Marketing team in Chicago to support and foster the continued growth of sales across all of our trading channels: Amazon 1P + 3P, Industrial, 3P Marketplaces, Retail, and D2C Website. This role must ensure that our creative, marketing efforts and execution reflect and underscore Evolution’s brand purpose in accordance with Evolution’s financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and collaborate with the Director of NPD and Marketing and Head of Group Marketing, in strengthening and amplifying Evolution’s brand positioning and identity while providing brand guardianship for North America.
• Develop and evolve a marketing strategy and investment plan that is centered on quantitative and qualitative testing that includes pre-launch hypothesis of clearly defined measures of success that are aimed at growing Evolution’s awareness, brand credibility and reputation.
• Create, manage and deliver a customer-centric North American Marketing plan in line with our brand strategy and values, customer insight and North American business plan, which includes collaborating with local marketing and sales team members, as well as Group/UK Marketing team members.
• Utilize market and customer insights across the business to continuously improve customer experience, effectiveness of communication and brand health.
• Serve as final checkpoint for all marketing assets to be used in-market including all off-line advertising and marketing campaigns, product launch materials, trade shows, etc.
• Ownership of Annual North American Marketing budgets (global production and local adaptation and activation), including synergy with digital performance marketing spend, and set up KPI measurement to assess return on investment for every marketing activity.
• Manage all US-based external marketing relationships with agencies and creative agency and supply partners including contract, fee, and scope of work.
• Lead cross functional team of internal and external partners to develop and deliver compelling integrated marketing campaigns and assets.
• Provide team leadership for local Marketing team, inspiring people to deliver best in class marketing and asset production through improving their knowledge, skill and behaviors.
• Work collaboratively with the NPD team, local Product Marketing Manager and Group Head of Marketing to support the positioning and launch of new products into North America.
• Monitor and review competitor activity, devising effective responses to mitigate threat and capitalize on areas of opportunity.
• Responsible for all North American marketing collateral, trademarks and artwork used in-market.
• Evaluate all on- and off-line marketing creative and activity to drive continuous improvement and effectiveness vs KPIs.
