Clinical Operations Recruitment Consultant - (Contract)

Position: Senior Clinical Operations Consultant (GI)

Type: Contract / Consultant

Location: Remote – U.S. based preferred

Duration: 12 Months

About the Role

A biotech company specializing in gastrointestinal and rare diseases is seeking a seasoned Clinical Operations Consultant to support trials focused on GI conditions. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for end-to-end clinical trial execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the operational execution of assigned clinical trials (start-up to close-out)
• Oversee CROs, vendors, and investigative sites
• Manage timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Clinical, Regulatory, Medical, etc.)
• Contribute to protocol development, trial documents, and site materials
• Ensure GCP compliance and inspection readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred)
• 8+ years of clinical operations experience, with senior-level responsibilities
• Strong track record in GI studies; SBS experience strongly preferred
• Experience in rare disease trials and small biotech environments a plus
• Proven ability to lead global trials and manage external vendors
• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, and clinical trial processes
