Position Overview :

Ferguson’s House of Furniture is seeking a dynamic and experienced Store/Sales Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and ensure a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic leader with a passion for furniture, retail management, and customer satisfaction. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of sales associates, maintaining store operations, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Leadership : Drive store sales through effective merchandising, customer engagement, and sales strategies. Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Team Management : Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates. Conduct regular training, performance reviews, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service Excellence : Provide exceptional service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met and they have a memorable shopping experience.
  • Inventory Management : Oversee inventory control, product ordering, and restocking to ensure that the store remains well-stocked and organized.
  • Store Operations : Ensure that daily store operations run smoothly, including store opening/closing, cash handling, and adherence to company policies.
  • Visual Merchandising : Maintain attractive and effective displays that highlight key products and promotions to maximize sales.
  • Sales Reporting : Monitor sales data, prepare reports, and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Problem-Solving : Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in retail or furniture sales management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing customer needs.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture products and trends is a plus.
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
